Consulting
Analysis/Discovery. We believe that proper communication with clients is essential. By properly defining and detailing the scope of the project, our responsibilities, your responsibilities, methods for changes to the project, and other important details, we set the expectations of all parties in advance and build a better basis for successful completion of the project. The discovery phase includes interviews with key stakeholders to determine business goals and needs, process flow, exception handling, integration requirements, technology requirements, and more. The result of this effort is a plan for the implementation that answers the who, what, why, when, where, and how of the proposed solution.

Prototyping. There are situations where eDocument Resources will recommend a prototype process, especially for "proof of concept" projects. This process is also necessary when replicating the existing functionality of another application. The goal is to determine if user experience and performance are acceptable, as well as to find unknowns, exceptions, and other issues prior to implementation.

Integration. Often clients want to leverage the investment in a line of business application. eDocument Resources solutions have been integrated with a variety of systems allowing data to be passed to or from the legacy system, eliminating double entry or enabling real-time updates. Additionally, clients often wish to integrate to an existing application in a way that allows users to retrieve documents without leaving that application. Such integration provides the benefits of faster access, automated data transfer, and reduced training costs.

Implementation. eDocument Resources will work closely with your team to design the system, install and configure hardware and software, perform testing, and provide guidance on-site when the solution goes live.

Data validation services
Backstop is a suite of data validation and recovery services designed with document management systems in mind. Backstop maintains and restores the integrity of your database and disk groups, ensuring information validity and, ultimately, peace of mind.

Comprising five separate applications—Database Backup Validation and Optional Backup Storage, Disk Group Validation, On-Site Emergency Recovery, Assisted On-Site Emergency Recovery, Emergency Hosted Recovery—Backstop is available from eDocument Resources as a suite or as distinct services. It supports a wide range of databases and software.

Hosting
Locating enterprise content management system at a service provider's site is one option for deploying your solution. By providing the infrastructure, facilities, and operational procedures to keep your system secure and reliable, eDocument Resources can coordinate services including hosting applications and databases, scanning and indexing your documents, providing storage capacity for the scanned images, and providing fast retrieval access for your users.

eDocument Resources can also work with your existing scanning vendor to ensure successful implementation and ongoing maintenance to your hosted system.

Backfile conversion
Most content management systems are implemented on a "day-forward" basis. However, there are times where you must consider your organizations legacy information—the "backfile" of paper and film. Locating old records can take days or weeks, especially when documents have been misfiled or must be retrieved from an off-site facility.

eDocument Resources can provide or coordinate services for digitizing paper and film, and indexing and delivering files for use within your content management system.

Media conversion
Because file format technologies change, you may need to migrate records from a legacy system to your content management system. Our media conversion specialists have custom tools to convert data from one format to another.
