Brookings, South Dakota, May 17, 2006- Talario LLC of Brookings, SD manufacturer
of the flagship product Xpaper™ announced at the AIIM Expo today, the creation
of the latest Xpaper™ ® Connector. Developed in partnership with eDocument
Resources the connector allows users to enter information in handwritten form
with a digital pen and have that information uploaded into Hyland Software’s
enterprise content management solution OnBase®.
“We view this as a tremendous partnership between Xpaper™ and eDoc®,” said Tim
Aughenbaugh, Talario’s Chief Executive Officer. “By developing this connector
we feel we have brought a last mile solution to ECM technologies that were
looking for the ability to incorporate a familiar process, handwriting, into
important business process applications.”
The connector works in conjunction with Xpaper™, which is digital paper in a
box. By entering handwritten information with a digital pen onto a document or
form printed on Xpaper™, the information can be instantly captured into the ECM
system by docking the digital pen in it’s station which is connected to the
network. Xpaper™ allows businesses to print its documents and forms on this
specialized paper. While writing on the form, specific information is captured
so that an imaged document is generated upon completion. Upon conclusion of the
form, data is uploaded as a PDF-formatted document (including pre-filled form
information and the users writing).
“eDoc's Xpaper™ connector allows for automatic ingestion of Xpaper™ generated
electronic documents into the ECM solution, where they can participate in a
workflow process or be archived for future retrievals,” said Matt Charlson,
eDocument Resources’ Chief Technology Officer. “The Xpaper™ connector bridges
the gap in applications where using laptops and electronic forms are not
practical, but a centralized workflow solution is still required.”
Xpaper™ and its family of products provide immediate benefits to individual
users, as they are affordable and easy to use. Xpaper™ products are highly
scaleable and easily integrated with existing software, making them a valuable
input component for more comprehensive solutions.
