Ken Schempp
President

As President of eDocument Resources, Ken is responsible for developing business strategies, leading innovation, and defining a vision for content management. Under his leadership, he has created opportunities that enable organizations in the industries of healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, finance, government, and human services to achieve greater operating efficiency while at the same time reducing costs. Ken has also been instrumental in securing partnerships that leverage and expand eDoc’s capacity to grow and thrive in the rapidly evolving world of document management.

Ken has been directly involved in the document industry since the early 1980s. Ken's various management roles and training bring a breadth of experience and understanding of "real world" challenges to the business automation space. Ken has led eDocument Resources since inception and for over five years has provided a record of consistent profitable growth and recognition from industry peers.

Ken is a graduate from the University of Minnesota Carlson School Of Management. In 2006, the Twin West Chamber of Commerce nominated Ken as Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year, a distinction based upon business leaders who guide their organization with sound business strategies, financial success and community involvement.

Matt Charlson
Chief Technology Officer

Matt Charlson is the Chief Technology Officer for eDocument Resources. As CTO, Matt provides strategic leadership for eDoc’s existing and upcoming adopted technologies. He directs development and interoperability efforts over a diverse landscape of client infrastructure, business needs and third-party systems. As part of his role, Matt will offer integrated, value-based solutions for existing implementations and focus on further developing automation beyond typical ECM offerings. He will also develop strategies for long-term sustainable, repeatable solutions for continued growth.

Previous to becoming CTO, Matt served as Vice President of Professional Services at eDoc where he managed day to day operations of development, technical support and project management. In addition to leading the Professional Services practice, he also played an integral role in architecting eDocument Resources solutions and product direction.

Matt has been involved in content and document management solutions since 1996. His formal background is primarily technical, focused on software development, database design, and administration. He has implemented numerous systems, involving both standard and highly customized solutions.

Matt earned his undergraduate degree at Minnesota State University in Mankato. He also serves on a Development Advisory Board for Hyland Software.

Scott Lastine
Director, Finance and Business Planning

Scott Lastine serves as the Director of Finance and Business Planning for eDocument Resources. As Director, Scott is responsible for all Accounting and Finance functions. He also manages the Human Resources function. He leads the company’s business planning and analysis effort. Under his leadership, the company has established a solid sales forecasting process and has established structure for business processes in this high growth environment.

Prior to becoming a Director at eDocument Resources, Scott worked in areas of increasing responsibility at DataCard where he managed business support to mergers, divestitures, and acquisitions function as well as managed internal audit function outsourced to RSM McGladrey. Furthermore, as Operations Division Controller he managed a $160M organization with responsibility for all R&D, manufacturing, supply chain management, and marketing for the company. Scott has direct experience in software and custom integration division and comes to eDocument Resources with several years of management experience to his credit. He brings a high level of integrity and ethical standards and has a solid reputation for being flexible and willing to do “whatever it takes”.

Scott earned his MBA in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas along with a BA from Bethel University in St. Paul. Scott is also a CPA.

Mark Rubin
Director, Healthcare Services

Mark has led the healthcare effort at eDocument Resources since joining in 2005. That focus has enabled eDoc to build on its success and expand further into this specialized vertical. Current implementations include many types of organizations including hospitals, clinics, medical device companies, insurance, and others. Mark also serves on the Minnesota Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) board where he chairs the Member Relations Committee.

Mark joined eDocument Resources with a long history in the medical industry. Previously he was a top regional sales manager for a medical imaging company, where his efforts were instrumental in transforming the firm's relatively new service offering into the industry's gold standard. His prior experiences also include field service and customer service management at a medical software company, computer network integration and consulting, and participation in clinical study review.

Mark received his undergraduate degree with honors from New York University and attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine. In his professional career he also achieved Novell’s highest certification, Certified Netware Engineer, and has earned his Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+) certification upon joining eDoc
